IOSHA Poster Updated June 2019
As of June 24, 2019, the Indiana Department of Labor has released a revised Indiana OSHA Notice. The new notice adds a section on penalties in conjunction with worker fatalities. Under the new section, proposed penalties are assigned for employers that knowingly violate the Act and their actions have contributed to an employee fatality.
Civil penalties of not less than $9,472 and up to $132,598 have been assigned per violation.
Chapter staff has been in touch with the Indiana DOL and we have been advised that while it is always a good idea to update posters when they are revised, they are not aware of any planned enforcement of the display of updated OSHA posters, nor any past citations for employers not having the most up-to-date version of the poster. It is also acceptable to post the federal OSHA poster in its place.
We have updated our all-in-one compliance poster file and members may reach out to Tavia Brunner (firstname.lastname@example.org, 317-846-5680) to request a poster at cost.
