March 26 - NECA's FFCRA FAQ - rate of pay calculation and other questions

Updated: Apr 3, 2020

I LIKE ANSWERS! I’m pleased to say that NECA National just updated their FFCRA FAQ and they’ve issued some revisions to previous answers, but better yet, they’ve added answers to questions we’ve been pestering them for days. I won’t reprint the entire document here because I think they’ve done a great job on it as is. But we finally know the method of calculating regular rate of pay, whether or not benefits need to be paid (spoiler: NO, but if you do pay into health and welfare on their behalf it appears to be reimbursable), and many more. This is great work on their part in light of no new guidance being formally released by the DOL. In any event, it gives us some ideas on what to expect and how to start planning on how to comply with this new law.

That’s it for tonight. As always, stay safe and never hesitate to give me a call.
